The inspiration for creating all the beauty began with my visit to David Austin Roses in Bowling Green Lane, Albrighton, Shropshire in the UK in the summer of 1995. Most people who visit this floral paradise drive to the destination. For me, travelling from London, it was 2 trains and a bus and then a long walk down a dirt road to arrive at the wrought iron gates at the back of the property. As I glanced to the right and through the commanding gates I thought I had found heaven on earth. Being summer time all I could see was an abundance of exquisite fragrant roses in bloom. The gardener opened the back gate so I could enter and play in the enchanted gardens.
It was after returning from this trip that I worked closely with Crabtree and Evelyn in Australia to launch the Evelyn perfume adorning each of the Sydney stores with abundant bouquets of fragrant Evelyn roses that were especially created for Crabtree and Evelyn by David Austin.
It was from this experience I was inspired to create a range of beautiful homewares and gifts that celebrate the feminine within and give the feeling of being heaven sent.
My creations have continued to evolve over the years, always inspired by the beauty of flowers and exquisite fabrics and ribbons.
